Hearful, a funded and revenue producing startup, based in Chapel Hill, NC is ready for its next stage of growth. We are looking for a Sales Development Manager (SDM)– someone with high-energy who is willing to pick up the phone, carry a quota, and be part of a growing and recognized organization!

As an SDM you will be responsible for qualifying new business opportunities and reaching out to prospective clients directly; this means that you love being on the phone, talking technology and learning about prospects’ pain points.

As a Sales Development Manager, you will part of a fun team that excels at getting things done. You will learn the business and grow into new roles as you gain experience. If you are a new college grad looking for that first sales role, or a seasoned Salesperson, we want to talk to you!

Responsibilities:

  • Research potential contacts from lists or other means & build relationships with potential customers

  • Generate outbound campaigns

  • Respond to inbound leads generated via email and web and develop them into actionable prospects over the phone

  • Work with the team to develop and organize materials that will engage your prospects

  • Work with leadership to manage proposals and close deals

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of customer-facing experience (lead generation, account management, closing, retail)

  • Strong communicator, excellent verbal, written and presentation skills (interpersonal skills are a must)

  • Bachelor’s degree or similar

  • A genuine team-player who is excited to collaborate with others

  • Must be based in our Chapel Hill office

  • Passionate about a sales career and hungry to earn a spot in an entrepreneurial start-up

  • A phone lover. The phone cannot be the enemy; applicants must have a passion for talking with new people

  • Able to drive sales leads and revenue by performing outbound activities via email, phone, and online channels

  • Proven ability to build and manage a sales pipeline from cold calling to transition to account executive

  • Capable of setting aggressive goals and achieving them

  • Highly organized and detail oriented. Able to organize perform tasks to completion on-time with little supervision

  • Exceptionally curious and a continuous learner

  • Excited about the challenge of building something transformational from the ground up

  • Experience working with large consumer brands a plus
